Inversión de nivel C2: So/Such + adjetivo al inicio (So great was the noise that…), Such was…, e inversión con adverbios de lugar.

So y Such al inicio
Es un recurso dramático, casi literario, para subrayar una intensidad. Sacas al frente la cualidad y obligas a invertir, normalmente seguido de una cláusula de resultado con that. Con So va un adjetivo (So great was the noise that we left); con Such va un sintagma nominal (Such was his anger that he shouted). Es la versión enfática y elevada de The noise was so great that….
El error típico es no invertir (So tired I was ✗ → So tired was I) o cruzar So/Such: recuerda So + adjetivo, Such + sustantivo.

Inversión de lugar
En estilo narrativo o expresivo, cuando un adverbio de lugar o dirección abre la frase, el verbo (de movimiento o posición) se coloca antes del sujeto: Down came the rain, Here comes the bus, On the wall hung a painting. Da viveza y un toque literario. La excepción que más se falla: si el sujeto es un pronombre, no hay inversión — Here it comes, Off they went. Solo se invierte con sujeto nominal completo.
